I have followed all seasons of the Rachel Zoe Project. A lot of style and fashion, which I like! Here is one of the parts where Rachel visits (among other) the Chanel shop in Paris: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k03iuwVP4-I&feature=relmfu
Wow! My health wasn't good today. I have been working on the new ward again and while I was there I had stomach pain and bowel problems. It lasted till tonight. Hope I feel better tomorrow morning.
I have been framing more photographs this afternoon with the new cutter. Here are the results so far. I'm quite proud of the collection. I will be taking these pictures to the photoclub when the new season starts in september.
I had a rude awakening this morning. Someone was knocking quite hard on my frontdoor around six o'clock. Who in the world could that be at this time of day, I wondered. It was friend A, standing outside in his knickers and with bare feet. He had locked himself outside his house without his keys and was not willing to wake up his neighbours. So he came running from the other side of town to my place for his spare key. It was all really funny, I have laughed the whole day...
Last night, about 22.30h, I felt a sort of shock while I was sitting on my couch. I fell a little bit to the left and was very curious what had happened. Later I saw on Facebook and Twitter that there had been an earthquake in our province of 3.4 on the Richter's scale. A quite severe one for this part of the world.
I told you about the coming changes at work and the possibility of having to leave my job in 2013. Last week my boss M had a new proposal about my future in the hospital. In the coming months I will be working on a new ward to see if I like it there. Wednesday was the first day at the new ward and I met some people there. This weekend I will study their office manual on paper and I will form an opinion.
Happy to present you the new and improved song from reggae-artist Johnny Baby 'Everybody got a Story' with me, myself and I on backing vocals! Yeah! So, what do you think? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FRHzQ80r1s4
I made a lovely spicy soup in the weekend with white beans, spinach and hot spices like kurkuma and ginger. I ate it with bread and a spinach/mandarin/cheese/honey salad.
Yesterday was the last day of the Olympics. Holland got one more gold medal: the hockey girls won the world title. Everybody famous that I know in England was at the closing ceremony last night, even the Spice girls.
Last night on teevee I saw these three cute young rappers who call themselves The Sh'Boss Boys. They were performing in America's Got Talent 2012 and were adorable. Also in the same show there were a Welsh Male Choir which I liked very much. Here's their song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AARrVAHnkdY
My colleague M made a couple of pictures of me today to put on Youtube with the songs that Johnny Baby made. I will post the video/song on the blog later, when it's all done....
The Netherlands have 16 olympic medals at the moment. Five gold, five silver and six bronze. On the photo's above you see Epke Zonderland, Ranomi Kromowidjojo, Dorian van Rijsselberghe and Marianne Vos. Could we have one more medal I wonder?
It is the last day (last hour!) of my Summer Holiday and I've been with my parents in Friesland. It was a very nice day. On the way home I saw the design that I made for a restaurant. I made it when I was about twenty years and lived in Friesland.
I spent the afternoon with colleague/friend A in the pub for a drink. We talked about the future and the changes to come. She will be leaving the hospital (were we work) in november. I have to go through some assessments in January 2013 to see if I can stay. I now have only one day left of my Summer Holiday!!!
So today we (A and I) went to Leer, a German town. Just for fun. We were here earlier in August 2009. With a rented car we made our trip. We did a little bit of shopping, eating and walking by the waterfront. It was very nice and quiet near the water (the Ems). We had some rain, cloudiness and later on some sun.
Yesterday and today I visited my brother, his wife and daughter in Friesland. The weather was fine apart from some rain. I walked the dog and prepared dinner, because my brother and his wife had to work a part of the day. With my niece J I had a lot of fun and we stayed up late to watch the olympics and we slept in today till about half past eleven. Tonight I came home and had pizza with friend A. When we had a walk afterwards we saw the full moon rise above the water. It was a beautiful day!
